I cultivate my energy from creating and connecting with others. There's nothing better for me than collaborating with people and using our creativity to create something new. Here is how I developed a passion for science, the outdoors, music, and business. At the end of this page, I list my passions, hobbies, and interests. Reading this will give you a better understanding of how we can collaborate and create something great, together! (Above Picture is a mountain lake in Idaho).
Science Passion/CU Boulder Biochemistry Degree ( 👨🎓 2017)
I was born in 1995 in Littleton, Colorado. My first word was Moon, and ever since I was kid I have been interested in space, science, healthcare, technology, and life on other planets. The questions of how the chemicals on primordial Earth came together and produced DNA, how our bodies diffuse oxygen and CO2, and how pharmaceutical chemicals can alter neurochemical and physiological processes led me to study Biochemistry at CU Boulder. My favorite parts of the program were working with Fluorescent Proteins, FPs, (picture below in Jellyfish - I love scuba diving btw), my microbiology course and lab, cellular and developmental biology, and psychology. I finished with a 3.5 GPA, made Dean's list a couple of times, and received a 4.0 in all of my writing courses and calculus courses.
Working under Dr. Kristin Roy in Biochemistry In my senior biochemistry lab, my team was guided by Dr. Roy to analyze the binding of therapeutic medicines to DNA. Using FP'S (fluorescent proteins, pictured here in jellyfish). my research team elucidated the finding that the building block in DNA, Guanosine, widens the minor the minor groove region of DNA and allows therapeutic medicines to bind more effectively. Cancer therapy is a big use for this process, so it felt great to see the success, firsthand. This project taught me many laboratory skills such as how to use laboratory equipment such as high grade spectrometers, how to calculate proportions of chemicals, the process of designing and storing different DNA sequences, data analysis involving binding affinity, and how to get around inevitable road blocks in research. I also developed better communication skills and conflict resolution skills. Presenting this project to CU Boulder faculty and students cultivated my passion for technical sales.
Working in Healthcare Tech Sales (2018-2019)
After graduating with a degree in biochemistry, I discovered that I was not ready to go back to school and I did not want to work in a lab. I wanted to use my creativity, people skills, presentation skills, and problem solving skills in a people-centric environment. I have always enjoyed sales (had my own landscaping business in College and went door to door to market), so I started working as a sales representative for Verity, a Healthstream Company, now called Veritystream. Verity sells a software solution for managing doctor credentials, licenses, and healthcare information. I worked at Verity for a Year and 8 months, and left to pursue a full-time MBA at CU. At Verity, I excelled at cold calling (created 60+ opportunities and $375 K in sales), creating email templates, providing our marketing team with valuable data and insights (nominated for an award, below), and training two new business development representatives.
Star Value Award Nomination - I started working at Verity when they rebranded from Echo to Verity. With this rebranding came the launch of Verity's new data management software solution for healthcare companies. I was able to introduce this product to many medical groups, healthcare staffing agencies, and healthcare management companies. I learned a lot about our potential customers, their needs, and learned what sales tactics worked best. I knew it would be beneficial for our marketing department to have market intelligence and customer insights, so I gave them my data. Marketing leadership was impressed with my efforts, and I was nominated for the Healthstream Star Values Award.
Masters in Business Administration at CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business (👨🎓 May 2021)
I recently graduated with my MBA from the the Leeds School of Business. I pursued this MBA for Entrepreneurship and Marketing - I received a scholarship from the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship and a Leeds Merit Scholarship. The reason why I chose Leeds is because their entrepreneurship program is top 10 in the country and I love CU's campus. Throughout my life, I have loved playing around with different business ideas and using my creativity to create new systems and products. At Leeds I acquired the skills to start my own business and be an executive focused on high growth. I am striving to take my degree in science, biotech background, sales background, and work for a healthcare or biotechnological startup company within a sales or marketing role. My long term goal is to take my MBA and start my own business in the mental/physical health segment (naturals/meditation/exercise) or social connectivity space. I am currently playing around with different ideas. More to come!
Work during the MBA
Within the Leeds MBA program I worked as a graduate-level teaching assistant (TA) for marketing management, and I am currently working on the Leeds MBA admissions team as Leeds MBA interviewer. As a TA I ensured that the technology for the virtual class worked properly, proctored exams, set up a grading system on Excel and graded case studies, and tutored a student in China. As a Leeds MBA Interviewer I interviewed over 50 prospective MBA students (international and US) and determined their fit within the program. I also served as a Leeds ambassador to these students, answering questions and giving tips for the program and living in Boulder.
MBA Internship
Over the summer between my first and second year of the MBA program, I interned for a stealth-mode startup in Denver called Elanif. Stealth-mode means that the business idea is so new that it has no patent/copyright protection. As an MBA Intern, I focused on business development and marketing. My primary responsibilities were to design our pitch deck and cold call potential customers. Through cold calling I landed informational meetings and established relationships with companies including the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Alterra Mountain Resorts, and the City of Boulder. It was very fun to pitch to these companies!
Consulting Projects during my 2nd Year
My second year of the MBA program was a blast! Through my marketing strategy course I worked on a team to create a marketing plan for the Boulder-based company, Grace's Goodness Organics. GGO sells an all-natural, vegan broth that can be added to hot water for on-the-go use. We gave CEO, Sarah Bird, and Founder, Grace Ventura, tactics for social media marketing, packaging ideas, and defined their target customer. I then served as team-lead of a 4 person MBA team for a consulting project with Plastika Skaza for my social entrepreneurship class. Plastika Skaza is a plastic manufacturer in Slovenia (largest Plastic manufacturer in Europe), and we are helped them take their kitchen composter products into the US market! My team and I cold called retailers, acquired two big customers, analyzed the competitor landscape and composting industry, and created distribution strategies. I loved this project because Plastika Skaza is eliminating plastic pollution and plastic waste (fishnets) in our oceans, by breaking down the plastic and using it for the manufacture of their composters.
My Current Job
ESO
ESO is one of the most hottest healthcare software companies in the industry. Our software helps save lives. ESO is passionate about improving community health and safety by working with Fire Departments, EMS Agencies, and Hospitals. ESO is not only composed of great business-people, but also great data scientists with extensive healthcare experience. Our software collects emergency response data (call times, location of emergency, and exposures of diseases and carcinogenic materials), and packages it in a really easy way to understand way for the federal government and the agency-itslef. The federal goverment then can then elucidate concerns, strengths, and areas of improvement to save future lives and ensure that all communities are treated equally.
I joined ESO in 2019, during a high-growth phase. ESO had recently aquired Emergency Reporting and Firehouse, two-other software companies with a similar ethos. These companies had learned from their customer-base, and had valuable insights to help grow ESO. ESO knew that Emergency Reporting and Firehouse had out-dated code, and this made their customers vulnerable to security risks and low-efficiency. To help our newly aquired customers, we decided to expand our marketing and sales efforts into upgrading our customers to ESO. This includes discovery calls, sales presentations, networking, and supporting the customers project from start to finish.
My Sales Role at ESO - Account Manager
I sell ESO at usually a 3X Premium to other software companies. The revenue that ESO has brought in from this has allowed us to accelerate R&D, expand our sales team, and be a good investment for Vista Equity Partners. Selling at a 3X premium allows me to get creative with my pitching and next steps. A lot of customers are price adverse and will easily go to another company that charges less. To avoid this I build immediate and intense value with my customers. I have learned to present ESO in a way that resonates with exactly what the customer is looking for. If it is credibility, then I leverage my relationships with other customers and federal agencies. If they want to improve the safety of their firefighters, then I demonstrate our feature that simply guides a firefighter through decontamination.
My mastery of my role and MBA skills have allowed me to be a top-performer on our team of 15. I am currently #1 in revenue generation in 2024 through my marketing and sales efforts. I am currently #3 for the year in revenue attainment. I am shooting for the #1 spot and with my pipeline I believe that I will get there.

Meditation 🧘♂️
At CU I took a course to learn Sudarshan Kriya Meditation (SKY). Sky meditation uses cyclical breathing and yoga to calm the mind and body. Ever since learning Sky I practice meditation daily, and believe it helps me stay focused, increases my creativity and gratitude, and helps me stay relaxed. I'm a strong advocate for a daily meditation and gratitude practice!
Writing Poetry and Songs 🎸
I love writing poetry and progressions on my guitar and midi-keyboard. Writing poetry is a very creative experience for me, because it allows me to see events in another light and use symbolism to express what I experienced. I have been playing guitar for a little over 10 years and don't think there's anything more fun and meditative than improvising chords and lyrics. I am using GarageBand to record and I am currently working on music video projects! I will post them on this site in the near future.
Hiking, Climbing 14ers, and making Films of the Outdoors ⛰
I believe that every Colorado 14er (Mountain above 14,000 ft) has its own theme. I capture a lot of short clips for each 14er and put them together for a musical-based film. These films are held to 1 minute for Instagram purposes. My goal is climb all 53 Colorado 14ers . I have currently climbed 24 - my top three are Mt. Antero (colors and largest deposit of Aquamarine in Colorado), Mt Sneffels (first class 3), and climbing 4 14ers in one day (Torreys, Grays, Tabeguache, and Shavano). Over the summer of 2020 I spent 4 nights and 3 days hiking the Sawtooth Wilderness Loop in Idaho. This was my first solo trip and it was very introspective for me. Everyone of the 62 miles strengthened the bond between me and nature and taught me about myself. You can view these films here.
Sports 🏀
I love going on long runs and playing sports. My all time favorite sports team is the Denver Nuggets - I never miss a game and I spontaneously met Nikola Jokic at an Avs game!
Traveling ✈️
I love immersing myself in new settings and cultures. Some of my favorite places I've traveled to are Paris, Amsterdam, Belize, and Costa Rica. This semester I have been working on a consulting project in Slovenia, and I am hoping to travel to Slovenia this summer!
Scuba Diving 🤿
My parents are big Scuba Divers, and they taught my brother and I how to Scuba. We have dove in Hawaii, Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica, Roatan, and in Cenotes - Cenotes are freshwater caves and they are remarkable experiences.
Skiing ⛷
You can find regularly skiing Keystone, Breck, and Crested Butte! Always looking for company.
